USA Rugby has been asked if players can wear skirts over shorts or skorts. These garments have loose cloth and are not allowed in game play.
USA Rugby has been asked if tank tops can be worn for VIIs matches. The Laws of the Game (4.2) explicitly require jerseys to have sleeves, so tank tops and cut-off sleeves are not allowed in game play.

USA Rugby has been asked if players can wear a Q-Collar or a Rezon Halos. The manufacturers of both these devices claim they can help reduce concussions or other types of head injury. However, they have not submitted appropriate testing data to World Rugby. Neither device conforms to Law 4 and they are not approved for use in game play. This has been confirmed informally with World Rugby.
