Marcus Tupuola

Born in American Samoa, Marcus Tupuola picked up rugby at the age of 13 with the Southbay Spartans in Carson, CA, also playing football and basketball in high school. Earning Collegiate All-American honors in both sevens and fifteens at Notre Dame College, Tupuola competed with developmental Collegiate All Americans at RugbyTown 7s in 2018 alongside a few USA Flacons tours in England and South America. Marcus was later named as a traveling reserve for the senior squad during Dubai and Cape Town Sevens in 2018.

Tupuola officially made his national team debut on home soil at the HSBC USA Sevens in 2019, where the USA won their second ever gold medal on home soil. Back and fourth between the club scene and SVNS Series, Tupuola found himself in the mix for Olympic selection and was named to the 2024 Paris roster.
