Ariana Ramsey
Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Ariana Ramsey first started playing rugby her sophomore year of high school, while also competing in Track & Field and Cheerleading at Upper Merion High School. Finding her first club at the school sign up table, Ramsey would go on to compete with all star sides Whitehorse Rugby and Atlantis Rugby before enrolling at Dartmouth College and joining the premier rugby program in college. Playing all four years, her squad would defeat rival Harvard in the 2022 NIRA National Championship.
Ramsey first caught the eye of USA Rugby High Performance during the 2017 Junior Olympic trials, earning invites to the Junior National Team camps and competitions from 2017-19 before earning a spot on the 2019 PanAm Games in Lima, Peru. Continuing to excel in college, Ariana would also earn selection to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic team before ever stepping foot on the World Rugby Sevens Series pitch. After graduation, she would make her series debut in 2023 during the Hong Kong Sevens, scoring a try in her first match, becoming a mainstay on the USA roster and named to her second Olympics in Paris for 2024.
Outside of rugby, Ariana is a certified personal trainer.
