USA Rugby partners with Opendorse, opening new NIL portal for National Team athletes and alumni to connect with brands

USA Rugby is partnering with Opendorse as an extension of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee’s partnership, who in 2021 launched the Team USA Athlete Marketing Platform (AMP), a private marketplace for eligible Team USA athletes and Team USA sponsors.

Leading into an Olympic year and with Rugby World Cups on the horizon, now more than ever, brands are partnering with athletes and sports influencers.

USA Rugby athletes and national team alumni, with or without commercial representation, now have the opportunity to create a profile promoting their digital platforms and personalities for brands to discover and connect with. Participating athletes can be found on the USA Rugby homepage on Opendorse.


USA Rugby General Manager of Commercial and Events, Brandy Medran said on the partnership, “We’re incredibly excited to partner with Opendorse and create a resource for all our athletes and alumni to grow their brand partnerships, and be discovered by potential partners. Part of the professional athlete experience is to collaborate with partners who can bring new light to their brand and of course support the athlete.”
