LAFAYETTE, Colo. - USA Rugby is deeply saddened to announce that former president, John D'Amico, has passed away. D'Amico led USA Rugby from 1995 to 1996, helping increase the national governing body's youth rugby base during his time.
John passed away following a fight with cancer and is survived by his wife Pam and children Katie and Ryan.
"On behalf of USA Rugby, we express our deepest sympathies to the D'Amico family,' said USA Rugby CEO Dan Payne. "We are truly thankful for John's dedication and service to the rugby community. It is thanks to John and all those who came before him that we stand today with a growing membership and bright future.'
