WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army-Navy College Men's Rugby match on March 25 will be streamed LIVE on The Rugby Channel*, the network announced on Wednesday. The match will be put in front of the pay-wall and made available globally to include all U.S. Service Men and Women stationed around the world. Viewers will be able to watch at the therugbychannel.tv or via The Rugby Channel's apps for iOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire devices.
"As part of our commitment to bring the best of college rugby to our subscriber base, we can think of no better way to kick things off than by broadcasting a rugby game between these two great sporting rivals,' said Chairman of The Rugby Channel Chad Keck.
Keck, a graduate of West Point's Class of 1967, went on to say, "discipline, respect and comradery, core values at the Academies, are also central to the game of rugby. It is a delight for The Rugby Channel to display these elements before the broader sporting public.'
The match will take place at the scenic Anderson Rugby Complex overlooking the Hudson River at West Point, N.Y., with kickoff slated at 2:15 p.m. ET. An Army jump team will deliver the game ball on the field to Lee Anderson, West Point Class of 1961, as part of a ceremony celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Anderson Rugby Complex whose construction was made possible by a gift from Mr. Anderson and his wife, Penny.
