Major League Rugby concluded their 15th week of competitive play over the weekend, and as usual there were plenty of interesting results. The weekend kicked off with NOLA Gold taking on Austin Elite. The Gold registered their ninth win of the season, 26-14, and took over the top spot on the ladder and in the power rankings. The second game of the weekend saw Glendale dominate their neighboring state, the Utah Warriors, 64-22. The win helped Glendale sneak into the top four of the MLR ladder, but Despite the emphatic win, it did not move the Raptors out of 6th position in the power rankings. Perhaps the most intriguing game of the season saw the Toronto Arrows, take on the San Diego Legion. Heading into the game San Diego had arguably been the form team in the competition, while Toronto was quickly establishing its reputation as a next to impossible to beat at home. Eventually, Toronto prevailed in a tight affair, 23-19. The loss moved the Legion into second on both the ladder and the power rankings; while it pushed Toronto into third on the power rankings and 6th on the ladder. In the final match of the week, Rugby United New York put on a defensive masterclass shutting out the Houston SaberCats, 21-0. The win kept New York in 4th in the power rankings but gave them some breathing room at third on the ladder.
